DRUMSTICK SOUP

– Cut drumstick into pieces and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
– Once the pressure subsides, scoop the pulp with a spoon and keep it aside.
– Pressure cook broken green gram and smash it well.
– Add oil in a pan and sauté cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, cardamom, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, pepper corns and curry leaves.
– Add chopped onion, slit green chillies and tomatoes and sauté for few mins.
– Add drumstick pulp, salt and cook for few seconds.
– Add drumstick boiled water, cooked broken green gram and boil for 5-6 mins.
– Add pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves and switch off the stove.
