TOMATO THOKKU – REVATHI SHANMUGAM STYLE

– Grind ripen tomatoes, red chillies, tamarind and salt to a fine paste.
– Without adding oil in a pan, sauté cumin seeds, red chillies, fenugreek and asafoetida cake.
– Grind it to a fine powder.
– Add grounded tomato paste in a pan and let it boil until cooked.
– Then add the grounded powder to it.
– Add more oil in a pan and sauté mustard and smashed garlic cloves.
– Add the above to the tomato thokku and cook until done.
